This is the Ultimate Fun Activity For School Events & Birthday Parties...

"I've never seen such laughter and enjoyment..."

School Fieldtrip

Birthday party and school field trip activities often involve a number of annoying and stressful factors...

1. Racking your brains to try and come up with a fresh activity for the kids.

2. Handling logistical issues such as hiring transport to get troops of eager kids to and from the venue

3. The constant worry about managing a large group of super-excited kids wherever you end up going, ensuring their safety without stifling their fun, and getting them back in one piece.

Sometimes you stay at home or at school and you just want a special, unique activity that will give the event that x-factor and mean something to the kids.

Consider one of our age-appropriate interactive drumming programmes...

The difference in our drumming programmes comes from combining interactive drumming with music. Interactive Drumming has been around for a long time but the Brothers added music to the mix creating a "karaoke for the drums" activity.

We bring a drum for each person to play on as well as a powerful sound system for playing the music which the kids will drum along to. And it's the music that makes all the difference. Drumming is fun, but there's nothing like playing drums to your favourite songs.

Kids don't need to be good at drumming or music. They are taught to play basic patterns, and once they hear that it’s complementing the music and they’re the ones making it happen, it creates an overwhelming feeling inside, and you can see it expressed in their reactions.

The Brothers let groups know up front that no one will be embarrassed and that they can take a break whenever they want to. No one is put under pressure or singled out and the focus is on having as much fun as possible.

The Brothers in Beat have developed two drumming experiences

The Jungle Beats Drumming Adventure
(primary and pre-school kids)

Jungle Beats has to be seen to be believed... no really. We have written an adventure story that takes kids on a jungle adventure to meet some of their favourite TV and movie characters along the way.

Their reactions when we introduce them to a familiar character always makes us smile. In one event, at the point where we meet Timon and Pumbaa, one little boy exclaimed, "Holy smokes!" in a sea of gasps from others.

Once we've introduced the characters, we teach the kids a beat to play on their drums, and we all play together to a song from that movie.

Even kids with no musical inclination whatsoever get to experience how amazing and stimulating it is to be a musician even though they cannot necessarily play an instrument.

That's why we truly believe that the Jungle Beats Adventure could potentially be a life-changing experience.

"I was a bit sceptic at 1st but am I glad I decided to give u guys a chance to prove urselves!!!!!!

The kids had loads of fun. The story telling and drumming was incredible!!!" - V. Seitei (Parent at birthday party)

Rock Star Interactive Drumming
(ages 13 and up)

Again each person gets a drum and we bring a powerful sound system for the music.

We have been invited to present our Rock Star Interactive Drumming experience at 16th, 18th, 21st, 40th and 60th birthday parties, anniversaries, and at high schools. We have yet to meet a client who has been anything less than thrilled.

We lead the group in drumming games and challenges and we play drums to classics like We Like To Move It Move It, Pirates of the Caribbean, La Bamba, etc.

If you have an event theme or favourite song, let us know in your query below and we'll figure out a beat for that song and weave it into the show.

What are the Benefits of our Kids' Drumming Experiences?

- Our kids drumming programmes are our most affordable.

- It brings everyone together and adds to their sense of self-worth. When everyone plays the beats together it creates a tremendous sense of harmony, unity, and accomplishment. They're doing something they may have never tried before, they had no clue that could do it, and it sounds great.

- Kids learn why it's important and rewarding to work together as a team. Team building is a natural by-product of all our drumming programmes because they were all designed after the successful implementation of our corporate team building programme called Rock Star Team Drumming which has resulted in us being invited by Investec, the JSE, Alexander Forbes, and many, many other recognisable names.

- Drumming is relaxing, improves creativity, and it is a medium for self-expression.

- It’s a fun way for kids to connect with one another, break down barriers, and make new friends.

- NOTHING, but nothing eliminates stress like drumming. (This doesn't just apply to kids)

- It can inspire those who would never before have considered becoming a musician to take up an instrument. Speaking from experience, we believe this gives kids something creative and constructive to throw their hearts and minds behind and keeps them out of much of the trouble they might otherwise have gotten into.

- It has basic therapeutic elements. All our programmes have been evaluated by Dr. Lourindi Nel, a very highly qualified child psychologist / play therapist from Centurion, Gauteng.

- We are not a company that has employed random drummers to do a job. We are a small group of three brothers (friends since primary school) who are absolutely passionate about drumming and entertaining people. This reflects very clearly in our drumming programmes, in the feedback we receive, and in the amount of repeat business.

- For us, Brothers in Beat is a lifestyle business primarily. What this means is we do it because we love it, not as just a cold profit generating machine. If you have a strict budget, let us know what your budget is in your query below and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
